TSA ups the ante

It seems we are quickly approaching a boiling point in the standoff  between the TSA and the American public they purport to protect.  Drudge Report linked to a SunSentinel article (here) stating anyone entering a TSA line who refuses the naked body scanner and the alternative grope-fest will not simply be allowed to leave the airport, threatening  an $11,000 fine and arrest.  I can not understand why the American public has not jammed the phone lines of every member of Congress and flooded the TSA’s inbox and mailboxes with complaints regarding this violation of our 4th Ammendment rights.  Please use the ACLU form to file a complaint (link here) For anyone who doesn’t fly and thinks this won’t affect them, keep in mind this is just another step in an agenda leading to complete control over the American public.  Remember, as Benjamin Franklin wrote shortly before February 17, 1775 “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Security Theatre

Well I hate to beat a dead horse here, but this TSA issue just seems to get worse by the hour.  On one side of  the discussion you have our Homeland Security Director and former Arizona governor  Ms. Janet  Napolitano (Big Sister) who’s answer to complaints of passengers being groped is “if they don’t like our procedures, then don’t fly”. ( Article here )  One the other side we have a new District Attorney in California who promises to prosecute overzealous TSA wonks who get carried away with the groping.  What’s that? A chorus of Conservative Angels singing hallelujah for a public employee protecting the public? Stranger things have happened. ( Article here ) Our Homeland Security Director would have us believe that the increasingly intrusive security “show” we are being subjected to is somehow making us safer.  What no one seems to be talking about here is that the “Underwear Bomber” that we are supposed to be preventing from repeating was a Nigerian who boarded a plane in Amsterdam.  The Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmatallab, applied for and received a  multiple entry visa at the US consulate in London on June 12, 2008 valid until June 12, 2010.  In November of 2009  after warnings from UK officials and his father, Abdulmatallab’s name was added to the US Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment,  a database of our National Counterterrorism Center.  The name was not, however, added to the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database, the Secondary Screening Selectee List or the No Fly List and his US visa was not revoked.  Where was Homeland Security when this 23 year old Nigerian paid cash for his ticket, didn’t have his own passport and boarded a flight to Detroit with his underwear full of explosives?  Taking away our toenail clippers and lifting grandma out of her wheelchair, that’s where.  The people charged with protecting us are so scared of offending anyone other than hardworking taxpaying US citizens that they could’nt recognize a threat if it lifted it’s veil and spat in their eye.  What do we do? Write, call, email or even visit your representatives in Congress and the Senate.  Tell them you are fed up with being treated like the enemy.  Our 4th Ammendment rights are on the line here and our forefathers risked it all to provide us with these rights. Don’t let them be taken away.

Hey TSA, Ever hear of the 4th Amendment?

As the holidays approach, many of us will be boarding planes to visit family, vacation or squeeze in that end-of-the-year conference we’ve got scheduled. Many people are unaware of the latest surprise awaiting them at the TSA checkpoints. At many locations (eventually all, they tell us) you may be selected for a full body scan, which uses low-dose radiation to virtually strip your clothes away, enabling a TSA agent to get a view of your body that leaves nothing to their imagination. Should you “opt out” of the virtual strip down, you will be subjected to a thorough examination called an “enhanced pat down”. Boy told to remove American flag from bike

In another outrageous display by a school district, a 13 year old boy has been told he couldn’t have an American flag on his bike.  The flag our forefathers spilled blood to defend, has been blamed for “racial tension” and may cause “uprisings”.  This type of cowardly response to the complaints of a few students who don’t know or care about our history as a country is an example of how a country can rot from the inside. The complaining students should have been educated about our history and our flag, and made to write a ten page essay on what made America so great.  Read the article here:  Boy told to remove flag

Where did all the illegal aliens go?

The short answer is, they haven’t gone anywhere, we just don’t call them that anymore and that simple little change in the way the media is presenting their case could deal a major blow to our border security.  I first heard the term “undocumented worker” during the backlash for Arizona’s new immigration law.  The term “illegal alien”, used forever to identify people in this country illegally, is suddenly politically incorrect.  The newly minted term “undocumented worker” is meant to decriminalize the action of entering this country illegally.  This seemingly small change in the way the US looks at people who choose to circumvent our immigration process could have major ramifications.  Watch the video here : NC town to accept Mexican ID’s

Danger of Fed’s Latest Decision

The Federal Reserve’s recent decision to dump $600 billion into our economy carries a danger far greater than it would seem. In theory, you would think keeping interest rates low would be good for the economy, right? Not so, what they have done is virtually guaranteed inflation beyond our wildest imagination. Obama and his administration are like a child behind the control panel of a missle launcher, they have awesome power at their disposal and absolutely no comprehension of the destruction that can follow…or do they? We need to keep after our elected leaders to pay attention to what is going on at the Fed and hold them accountable. Please read the article regarding the Fed’s decision here: Link from Drudgereport
